Landscape Technician
Position Overview:
Landscape technicians are experienced working in virtually all aspectsof landscaping with minimal supervision. Technicians should be able to operate a variety of landscape equipment. They are also willing to learn and take orders from supervisors.
Responsibilities:
Landscape technician's primary responsibility is as part of a lawn
maintenance team utilizing line trimmers (weed whackers), zero-turn mowers, and backpack blowers. Secondary responsibilities include being a part of mulching, leaf cleanup, trimming, sodding, aeration, and snow removal teams. Other responsibilities include daily maintenance of machinery and loading and unloading of trucks before and after day.
Work Environment:
The work of landscape technicians is physical in nature. Technician's are required to sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop; communicate with team members; and lift heavy loads. Work is completed in environments that can be wet and humid, or in extreme cold or heat.
Knowledge/Experience/Requirements:
1. Experience in the landscaping field, highly preferred
2. Experience with the use of line trimmers (weed whackers), zero-turn mowers, and backpack blowers, highly preferred
3. Experience with other landscaping equipment - wheelbarrows, trimmers, pruners, leaf vacuums, snow blowers, and all hand tools, preferred
4. Knowledge of various landscaping services - mulching, leaf cleanups, trimming, sodding, aeration, snow removal, etc, preferred
3. Pennsylvania Driver's License, preferred
